Hello!
My name is Mary Moore, but you can also call me Articus. Welcome to my online art portfolio! These are my creations! Here you can browse all the latest (and past) art pieces. Being a multi-media artist, you can imagine there’s a lot to show. So take your time, and enjoy!
About
Mary Moore is a multi-media artist from Belen New Mexico, currently stationed in Tucson Arizona. She works primarily in traditional mediums such as painting, sculpture, and drawing, but has experience with other mediums such as photography, animation, and collage work.
The Creations
Content Warning some imagery may contain adult themes such as guns, bullets/bullet shells, nudity, and drugs. I mostly work in series, be aware some works are larger than others so it may take some time to look at a single set of series!
Common themes include: Memory, music, childhood, love, and loss. Enjoy!
Sculptures
“Memory Mountain”
Over 100 sculptures casted in plaster, I ask the viewers to play with the remains of my memories. Each sculpture is a different object from my life, and most have been given away in exchange for a memory of their own. Some Items I've had since childhood, and others are newer. The monochromatic boxes encasing the sculptures are little hints to how I feel about the objects. Black-dark gray indicate dark emotions, white-light gray are lighthearted memories, and the middle tone grays are feelings of uncertainty. As you view my memories, I hope it sparks some memories of your own!
Misc. sculptures
Collages
"Transformation Series" (finished)
The second collage card deck, featuring 54 collages made on playing cards (this includes the Jokers). Each card was made day after day until completion, imagery based off a song and my general mood.
Paintings
Transformation Series Turned Into Paintings (ongoing)
I’ve turned my second collage card deck into a series of paintings. The medium change further enhances the idea of adding and subtracting details of a memory.
Murals
“journey for creation”
Located at 5000 Marble Ave Albuquerque NM. Used to be my old college, but now it's a different type of school. As far as I know, there has been some removal of the beginning and end piece of this mural, most of this mural still remains.
Mural (untitled)

Installations
“Dealers Choice”
Using loose playing cards, I ask the viewers to write down lyrics from whatever song was stuck in their head. I believe everyone has a personal radio in their head playing and replaying tunes, I wanted to visually capture the dynamic music taste.

“The Pieces That Make Us”
A collection of paper assembled to represent a silhouette to express aspects of myself.
Drawings
Featured
Featuring some of my best drawings, but this of course does not cover all the drawings I have done. That would be too many!

artist blurb
This series contains adult themes and situations and is recommended for mature audiences. Viewer discretion is advised. Themes may include gun violence, drug abuse, alcoholism, mental illness, and light gore. It's a little rough around the edges aesthetically, but my goal is to get even better at comic making as the series progresses. This comic will always be free for viewing on my website in case you don't have Webtoon, or don't want to sign up to an account to view it.
Enjoy!
